Does Ubuntu 16.04 work properly with 3960x threadripper?

I need a system for a BBB server. On their website they recommend using Ubuntu 16.04 64Bit.

System to buy:
Threadripper 3960x
Aorus Pro Wifi
8x4 DDR4 3200 Kingstone
4x2 HDD 2TB WD Black RAID 10
M.2 Swordfish ADATA 250GB
GFORCE GT 710 1GB MSI
SOURCE THERMALTAKE SMART 80 PLUS BRONZE 650W

I need to confirm that it is compatible with UBUNTU 16.04 as I read that there are installation problems using threadripper.

matiasdv, any problems with with UBUNTU 16.04 and Threadripper will be Linux problems.  You will have little luck asking this User forum with very few Linux users to help you.  So I recommend you check with the Linux experts for Linux comments.  One thing I can comment on is please expect many system crashes with only 650 Watt power supply.  Good luck and enjoy, John.
