TRX40 chipset temps

I have an Asus ROG TRX40-E Gaming mobo with an x3960 Threadripper. I just noticed that the chipset temperatures are around 60-70 C idle. The chipset is under the GPU which can easily heat up the area of the mobo

to 80+ C under load. What is your experience whit the temps on the chipset? Is it too high or something to worry about? All the other temps are in the normal range. (Or maybe the chipset fan is faulty but the bios indicate the actual RPM for the fan.)

It's normal. The chipset doesn't downclock so it's quite toasty. With case fans at around 500 rpm, I idle at around 68~70 degrees, and low 70s on load. With case fans running at a decent speed (1200 rpm), it goes down to around 60~65.
