video_tdr_failure

Hi, I have a very annoying problem.

Whenever I open a file in Photoshop or start working on a new project in Adobe Premiere Pro I get video_TDR_Failure and a bluescreen. The weird thing here is that It has worked flawlessly in photoshop and premiere pro before without any issues at all, but suddenly this problem has appeared.

I am running

  • Intel i5 8400 processor
  • ASUS AMD Radeon RX 5700 8GB GDDR6 GPU

I have tried the following

  • Update BIOS
  • Revert AMD GPU drivers to earlier versions
  • Deleted old drivers
  • Changed PCIex16 settings in UEFI to Gen 3/Auto
  • Tried earlier versions of Photoshop and Premiere Pro (I have to go back to 2017 to get it to work, I ran 2019 before, now 2020).

I have also tried the power savings "fix" that the people of the internet is talking about.

What should I do?

Best regards

Have you tried to change the TDR in Windows Registry from 2 seconds to 8 seconds to see if it cuts down or eliminates the TDR BSODs?

You can use this free program to do it for your automatically from Wagnarsoft: TDR Manipulator V1.2 Released - Wagnardsoft Forum

It explains about how TDR works with Graphic Drivers.

If the above doesn't work then I suggest your open an Online AMD Service Request (Official AMD SUPPORT) and see what they suggest from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form
