Second monitor not detected

For the last 3 years I've had 2 monitors connected to my Dell XPS.  Suddenly only one is connected and nothing I do seems to be able to reconnect the other.

 

Monitor is fine (works with same connections to laptop).  Cable is fine.  Connectors and switched are fine.

 

Installed a new HD 5450 card.  Uninstalled the software, reinstalled the software.

 

Nothing makes a difference.

 

Any ideas anyone?
