Ryzen 9 3900x MCE Errors

I just put together a new system with the following hardware:

  • MB: ASUS X570 ROG Crosshair VIII
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
  • Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600Mhz C18 Memory Kit
  • OS: Fedora 32 Workstation (kernel: 5.6.8-300.fc32.x86_64)

And I'm getting the MCE errrors repeated throughout the day:

May 06 19:18:39  kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged
May 06 19:18:39  kernel: [Hardware Error]: Corrected error, no action required.
May 06 19:18:39  kernel: [Hardware Error]: CPU:12 (17:71:0) MC1_STATUS[Over|CE|MiscV|AddrV|-|-|SyndV|-|-|-]: 0xdc20000000030151

The system seems stable, no lock ups or reboots, so I'm trying to determine if this is a defective CPU issue, in which case I need to RMA it with Amazon or AMD, or if this is something related to the BIOS settings.  I've set everything to "normal" as far as overclocking goes.  I've run a full memtest86+ on the memory to verify it's good.

Any advise or assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
