Hello! I've got an ATI Radeon 4800 series graphics card and a Samsung Syncmaster 225mw display with 1680x1050 resolution. I connect these ones with a DVI/HDMI cable and AMD Catalyst Control Center recognizes my display as full HD display but that's not true. The problem is that I try to change the scaling of my monitor but still see the black stripes because I think the AMD CCC incorrectly recognizes the root resolution of my monitor within an hdmi/dvi connection. What can I do to remove the black stripes?
