Recently purchased a PowerColor RX 5700 XT and I have been experiencing many of the issues that others have described with this card. I have tried all of the fixes suggested in various places such as fresh installing drivers with DDU, disabling driver features recommended by AMD, forcing Gen 3 PCIe in the BIOS, etc. None of these fixes have solved the problem of black screens / display freezes that I was experiencing. I was not experiencing many issues in games, but there was one program that would fairly consistently lock my system up (WatchGuard Mobile VPN) which seems weird to me.
The one fix that seems to have worked (No issues over the past two days vs. multiple issues a day) is I moved the card from my top x16 slot to my bottom x4 slot. Does anyone have any idea why this might be the case?
Setup is as follows:
CPU: Ryzen 2700x
Mobo: Asrock x570 Pro4
Ram: G.SKILL TridentZ 16GB (F4-3200C14D-16GTZSK)
Radeon Software: 20.4.1
