To rule out your processor (180 Watt TDP) is overheating, when playing games or under heavy loads does the CPU temperature go above 68C?

The Maximum Operating Temperature for your processor is 68C. Once it start reaching that temperature or passes it and goes above 68C it will automatically start to throttle which will greatly reduced its speed to lower the temperature below 68C. If it keeps overheating it will shut the computer down.

If your Processor temps don't go above 65C then the problem is most likely your RX 5700XT drivers which has been having many issues with Users here at AMD Forums.

When a computer shuts down by itself as though you hit the Restart or Power off button on your computer case generally is due to Overheating hardware (CPU or GPU), Overclocking (CPU or GPU), or Power issues (PSU) but sometimes it could be due to incompatible hardware or driver.

It has never shut down on its own. Is there a driver that works well ?

I am sorry I guess I got a little confused.

You are saying that when you are playing a game or under heavy loads your CPU speeds are greatly reduced?

Forget about the RX 5700XT then, I misread your post.

When the CPU speeds are reduced (frequencies) under heavy loads the temperature is below 65C?

You mentioned your Ryzen worked fine for a month before all this started correct?

Make sure you have the latest BIOS and CHIPSET versions installed for your motherboard from your Motherboard's Support download site.

Does Ryzen Master show any RED INDICATORS at the top of the program like EDC?

If any of the top indicators in Ryzen Master are RED that will cause your Processor to automatically throttle.

If all the indicators are green all the time then I suggest, as a precaution, open a AMD Warranty Request from here:  https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/warranty-information/rma-form and see what they suggest.

Does Ryzen Master top indicators show up as being in the RED either during normal computer use or when playing games or heavy loads?

That image your uploaded is just a thin white horizontal line in a black area.

I just installed a nvidia card I had and the computer does the same thing. No Ryzen master has never been in the red I will have to re-install it to check again.

Okay, make sure you remove all traces of the Nvidia driver before installing back the AMD GPU card using DDU with the internet disconnected.

I suggest you open a AMD WARRANTY REQUEST from here:  https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/warranty-information/rma-form and see what they suggest.

If Ryzen Master is showing all green at the top and your CPU is throttling under heavy loads or gaming with temps below 65C then see what AMD recommends you do thru their Warranty service.

All retail AMD CPUs have a 3 year Warranty on it.

By the way, when the CPU reduces in speed during gaming does it affect your games?

Does changing Windows or Ryzen Power plans make any difference?
