Der8auer outs AM4 bracket to deal with Ryzen 3000 hotspots

Apparently these brackets allow for better placement of cold plates with circular bottoms.  Hopefully independent reviewers will test this out and see if there are indeed meaningful gains.

7*C is a large claim. I can see that potentially on air depending on the model, but on liquid with a plate that covers the entire heat spreader, on a chip that uses Indium solder? You'd think if there were any improvements in cooling to be made, Corsair, or especially any of the other custom liquid cooling manufacturers which already use their own mounting system over AMD's stock brackets, would have found it by now, and it certainly wouldn't cost $33...

100% agree.  The heat spreader by it's nature rapidly conducts heat through the entire IHS surface.  The best performance is likely always going to be from a cold plate that contacts the most surface area of the IHS.
