I have a Dell Inspiron 5456, W10 and AMD A10 graphcs

The fault is this:- Whenever I select a Folder/File/image the drop down menu appears with NEW already selected, and it does not move. If I am too enthusiastic with the keyboard the whole window goes misty (not the display) and I have to wait for it to cool down, 2 out of 10 times this works until I need to open another window. Have tried re-installing both graphics and driver software. That does not fix it either. Any one any ideas? davefrench

Need to post your computer information like Make & Model of GPU, CPU, Motherboard and versions of Windows, Graphic driver, & BIOS/UEFI installed.

Sounds like a Windows issue rather than a Graphic driver issue.

First make sure you have Windows completely updated via Windows update.

Then try running SFC /scannow in a elevated Command Prompt or Powershell and see what results you get.  If Windows core files are not missing or corrupt it should finish with "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations"

What do you mean you wrote " I have to wait for it to cool down, 2 out of 10 times this works until I need to open another window."  What is overheating?
