Ryzen 7 2700 compatibility with 2Gx4 chip organization memory

Question asked by soloa on Feb 4, 2020

My Ryzen 7 2700 don't working with Samsung OEM 16Gb DDR4 memory with K4A8G045WC-BCTD chips, which have 2Gx4 organization (128Mbit x 4 I/Os x 16banks). I installed them in pairs and single in different slots of my Asrock X470 Taichi motherboard, but they still did not work. After I installed one of them along with Samsung OEM 8Gb DDR4 memorywhich have 1Gx8 organization (64Mbit x 8 I/Os x 16banks) in A2 and B2 memory slots, system booted. Is it possible to now use RAM, which have 2Gx4 organization, with the processor Ryzen 7, and is it planned to add such support in the future (after AGESA's update, for example)?
