Random black screen when playing AAA games

Hello everyone,

I've built last month a new PC, and for the 1st time I've chosen an AMD graphic card. My last PC was built around a i5-2500K and a GTX 1050 Ti, all games ran perfectly in low resolution.

Here is my new PC configuration :

Ryzen 5 3600

MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

2 x 8 Gb Ballistix Tracer 3200

Sapphire RX 5500XT 8 Gb

Corsair MP510 480 Gb (Win10 Pro & games)

Samsung 860QVO 1 Gb (storage)

Seasonic GX-650 Gold

AMD Software : 19.12.2

Games like DOTA2 or Starcraft 2 are running pretty well, but I've a regular problem with AAA games like Battlefield 5 or RDR2 : after 5, 10 or 20 mn in-game my screen goes black and the game stops. Here is the error detected by Windows (sorry, in french) :

The 19.12.1 doesn't support the 5500XT GPU...

OK, if I understood correctly : my brand new RX 5500XT is completely useless with RDR2 and BF5.

Wow... 1st time with AMD and I'm pretty disappointed.

I tried this driver of course, but it's worst.

Are you running Discord or have a web browser open at the time of the black screen?

No, I don't use Discord. No browser open anyway.

Please could you try running the latest version of DDU, clean and remove the AMD drivers. Once that is completed, please try once again a clean install of 20.1.1 Adrenalin and under the GPU Performance section, please set the GPU Power limit slider to the maximum value and click Apply. Let me know if this helps the issue.
