Connecting a widescreen monitor (25:9) to my laptop. Would my graphic card switch to a higher resolution ?

Hi,

I want to purchase a widescreen monitor (25:9 - 2560x1080 resolution) and I was wondering if my graphic card - Radeon HD 8850M would support that resolution through hdmi port ?

Also, if yes, would it convert automatically after I will install the driver or do I need to do some manual settings ?

Also, if yes, would I have any issues and would I will be able to connect dual-widescreen-monitors ?

Other specifications that may help answering the question :

I have a Dell laptop with integrated graphic card (Intel HD Graphics 4400) and dedicated graphic card (AMD Radeon HD 8850M)

Currently the highest resolution I can set on my laptop is 1366x768, no higher than that.

given you rig is older I am not certain if it can handle the timing for ultra wide screen well.

My RX 480 8GB can handle it but I have DisplayPort and a very recent driver.
