Hey I'm thinking of upgrading my really old graphics card to an RX 470 but my motherboard right now is an ECS H55H-M so I am not sure if it would work.

If the BIOS is UEFI compatible, then you shouldn't have any issues. If it's not, then it's worth upgrading your system more modern.

In addition to what black_zion already said. If it doesn't work, and you are not on the latest bios for your old motherboard, loading the latest bios often does the trick. If not time to upgrade.
