Phoronix: Intel processors lose 16% performance on average due to Spectre, Meltdown, MDS patches; AMD loses 3%

That's a scary figure, especially as these are done under Linux, which typically has higher performance than Windows.

Looking forward to Ryzen 3. Plus, it will be nice to dump all those intel crap things like management engine...

AMD has their own version if Intel ME, AMD PSP, but it doesn't have the reputation that Intel ME has.

Supposedly, Intel ME was/is a security hole even if you don't run the drivers in windows. It's been a while since I looked at it though. I just uninstall the driver after updating the chipset.

There is also the possibility that AMD may in the future support Coreboot. China's "licensed" copy of EPYC is working on it, and as those copies are, well, direct copies of EPYC, there's no reason it can't work on AMD's designs.
