I am curious why the most recent driver release for the x470 chipset (18.50.0422) only has a single file difference between it and the release from November (18.10.181012).  That file difference is the CIMManifest.xml which has Version="18.10-181012a-334539E-AMD" in the older and Version="18.50-181012a-334539E-AMD" in the newer.  Every other single file is exactly the same.

(fwiw, looks like there are lots of differences for the RAID chipset drivers from the last set)

18.50 supposedly fixes a USB issue with 300 and 400 series motherboards, and there is also something critical in 18.50 which newer BIOSs require, likely some interplay between it and the new AGESA, because every manufacturer posts the same advisory, that they strongly recommend that you update to 18.50 or later before updating the BIOS. It is also extremely out of the ordinary as motherboard manufacturers have all had 18.50 available for months before AMD offered it themselves.

There might be a problem with the chipset package as provided though.

The files in both packages are identical.  Same size same timestamp. Except for the 1 file that changes the version number of the package.  I don't see how it changes or fixes anything.

So looks like the driver set for 19.10.0429 has the updated files.  Still a mystery as to why the x470 driver chipset had no differences between v1850 and v1810.
