Overclocking monitor increases idle GPU voltage

Is that normal? I'm using the built in custom resolution feature in Radeon settings with RX580.

At 60Hz my GPU idles at 0.750V. At 75Hz it idles at 0.950V.

I assume it makes the GPU work harder even at idle, is it because of the overclock, or it would happen even if I bought a native 75Hz or more monitor?
