So just a while I go I noticed this weird issue I am having with my Vega 56. Whenever I install new drivers or reinstall current ones (always using DDU) the card runs cooler, performs better and consumes about 30 to 60w less according to HWINFO.
That is until I reset/shut down the computer, after that performance worsens and the card runs hotter and consumes more energy, that causes clocks to go down and I lose performance, happens with all the games I have.
The only fix I found so far is to reinstall drivers every time which is really annoying, resetting Radeon settings to factory default does not fix it.
Specs:
- I7 3770 3.4GHZ
-16GB DDR3 1600MHZ
-MX500 SSD 500GB
-Coolermaster 650w MWE GOLD PSU
-Asrock H61M-VS motherboard
-Vega 56 MSI Airboost currently at 950MV on the clock, HBM2(Samsung) at 930MHZ/950MV, not flashed.
Only using Radeon Wattman with rivatuner and hwinfo for monitoring. Using drivers 19.4.1, Windows 10 with latest updates.
