Lost Brightness Control After Updating AMD Driver

my notebook asus a52j can upgrade to windows 8.1 but the graphic driver cannot be used. when i install the graphic driver that download in AMD website, i cannot adjust the brightness of my notebook, if i lower down the brightness, my notebook will turn black screen. so, i need you help me to find a graphic driver that can support my notebook and let me can upgrade my notebook. thanks for your helping to let me solve the problem.

'a52j' is not enough info, need to know cpu or apu model, graphics card model and OS.

Intel core i5-460m 2.53 GHZ

Graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470.

You also need to update the Intel graphics, but looking at Intel site there are no Win.8 .1 drivers for your product, also your amd graphics are legacy(no new drivers).

You may be stuck with Win. 7.
