Hey I made a similar post yesterday, but unfortunately it raised even more questions.
I've been reading a lot of stuff about how to limit the framerate when using a Freesync setup. It seems that this topic is highly debated and with so many options available, I wish AMD would clear things up.
Anyway. There is this comment which is quouted a lot from a AMD guy named Robert. He recommends to just use Vsync and not limit the framerate any other way. This sounds plausible but when I think about how Vsync works I get confused. Doesn't enabling Vsync negate the effect of Freesync?
Lets say I enable Vsync on a 75Hz Freesync Monitor. The game could run way above the refreshrate but I want to stay in the Freesync range. When the framerate reaches the cap of 75 FPS, doesn't this mean that Vsync is "triggered" and thus adds the dreaded input lag? To me this sounds counterintuitive. Or am I missing something here?
