AMD not fixing driver issues

"Mouse lag or system slowdown is observed for extended periods of time with two or more displays connected and one display switched off."

This issue has been here for months, even though it is easily reproducible. What gives?

Did they screw themselves over by letting too many developers go and releasing Vega in a shoddy state?

This may be a bios level issue and may not be easily fixed at the driver level, or there may be a conflict with the windows operating system's method of dealing with inactive but connected ports. This potentially is a hardware level problem regarding the firmware which allows the monitor to talk to the video card.

People with any sense might unplug the monitor they have turned off to avoid the issue. This kind of "known issues" is why AMD bothers to list is as such - so that consumers are informed.
