Gracias!

Hello people, I am new here and I have a question that I hope you can help me solve it. It is as
follows: I wanted to buy an Amd Ryzen 7 1700 that I saw on offer and wanted to use a motherboard
with B450 chipset, specifically this model
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Steel%20Legend/index.asp it would be possible to use this way
these two components directly without the need to update BIOS or need to update it to be able to
use that micro of 1gen with a mother of 2gen. Of course I appreciate the possibility of consulting
this question here and if someone can solve this question I appreciate it. Thank you!

with a b450 board you DONT NEED to upgrade Bios for a Ryzen 7 1700
yet you should consider buying a Ryzen 7 2700 - because of XFR2 and PrecisionBoost
especially because a Ryzen+ (NOT first Ryzen) can hit 4.2GHz "pretty easy" with a decent cooling

PC: R7 2700X @PBO + RX 580 4G (1500MHz/2000MHz CL16) + 32G DDR4-3200CL14 + 144hz 1ms FS P + 75hz 1ms FS
Laptop: R5 2500U @30W + RX 560X (1400MHz/1500MHz) + 16G DDR4-2400CL16 + 120Hz 3ms FS

Thanks for the quick reply! I will take it into account, and there is a question, in newegg
the ryzen 7 1700 is downgraded to 169, while the 2700 is about 259 usd, it would be worth
the use of XFR2 and PrecisionBoost and the temperature issue also I thought.

Ryzen 7 1700 for only 169$ is pretty cheap - go for it
yet have in mind that you will get it to ~4GHz only
