The 8500/8700 designation is a SERIES...not a graphics card. Your laptop has a 8750...which is part of the 8700 SERIES. AMD offers generic drivers, and that is the generic name. Those are the correct drivers. Never install the 'minimal' setup...always the full driver suite.
You must first install the Intel (switchable) graphics drivers...as indicated here > Laptop graphics update...How to
Re-install the correct driver using DDU > Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers
Ok thanks alot, i'm gonna trying to do that
please do, you wont be disappointed, made it from 25fps at 720p to 50+fps at 1080p.
One of the AMD Moderators mention in the past that sometimes AMD Generic driver may show a slightly different model of GPU but it will be the correct driver.
To be able to show the correct GPU installed on your laptop you need to install the Laptop's manufacturer customized VGA Driver. The Manufacturer's laptop driver will indicate the correct GPU model install inside your laptop.
I have a Dell E6540 with i7-4810MQ/AMD HD8790m, the whole laptop used to throttle 98% of the time.
had to lap the heatsinks "warped"
modify the tension screws and spring surface area for the heatsinks
modify the heat pipes
Extended the heatsink 3inches outside the laptop's vent "custom aluminum 80mm fan and duct design for increased heat extraction
Thermaltake TG-3 (4.7)heu I will soon replace with thermal grizzly (12.2)heu almost 3 times more heat extraction per nanometer.
crosshatch the heatsink surface area's before apply paste.
add heat spreaders to all your mosfets and recmod boxes, capacitors and diodes.
add foil to your RAM as a heat spreader is on desktop ram.
also mod your power supply for the laptop as it will be capable of using almost twice the power, stable.
since I have a joined heatsink CPU/GPU/DDR5 shared cooling system I had to make it super efficient
also you have to make sure the system's clamshell is sealed my laptop uses vacuum air channels to cool some of its components.
also I modded the temp fan profile
because with the temps being so low the internal fan shuts COMPLETELY off and STAYS OFF so I had to make it stay on no matter what just so the 80mm fan didn't have to work so hard.
and after all of this here is my passmark run.
my temps are 42c GPU/CPU idle and 64c-68c CPU/GPU outside with average ambient temp of 70f to 85f
at 3.6Ghz all 4cores 3.8Ghz all 8threads CPU 1600mhz ram
1100Mhz GPU 1250Mhz ram +10 power setting.
why no one reply to my posts...
Because it doesn't have anything to do with the OP's issue or question?
well once you find out laptops are kinda just like self contained video cards that are made to run on batteries. lol
it started at 430ish FPS now I get almost 1300fps ummm, lets keep going shall wee.
