PLS mod this Forum so an answer can be "sticky" - so the correct answer is shown second (or first) in the post ;)

AMD Radeon Software 18.5.1 freezes my computer every 5 seconds
same answer is give 5 times

pls mod forum so that "most usefull answer" (min 5 votes or choosen by admin) is first or second shown in threat!

Actually it is a good idea.

but wouldn't it be confusing seeing an answer(s) out of context to the question?  When you mark an answer "Correct" it has a link to show you in its original context to explain the "Correct" answer and how it became the right answer.

If the "Most useful Answers" are posted first without the Users knowing why that answer is the most Useful it would be, in my opinion, rather confusing.

if the question is detailed enough the "best answer" would be sufficent
if not there could be a "find in threat"-button; which leads to the way how they got there

In the "old" forum...there was a section on the first (start) page titled "recently solved issues" (or something similar) where all the posts marked 'solved' were prominently displayed.

They should bring something similar back to the "new" AMD Forum. That way AMD Forum won't be getting the same or similar threads from Users.

The Users can go to that section and see if any of the "Resolved" threads fixes their problem before opening a new thread in the forum.

But AMD does have something similar in the respect that before you start a thread or you ask under Search. It shows all previous related threads before posting. But it shows all threads and not just the one that were resolved or fixed.

Boy do I agree! 90% of the help we give are the same answers over and over and over again. Obviously finding old threads with the right help isn't easy for most users.

The forum software is Lithium and its not that sophisticated.

Microsoft own forum can do that but they have a custom package that they built.

phpBB does not even use Q@A format, its more discussion oriented

same fo9r vbulletin etc
