Adept I

I'm getting an error message that my AMD Catalyst Driver is outdated.

It says I have AMD Radeon HD 8570D ver. 13.152.1.1000 and suggests I update. My computer says there are no updates however I downloaded the latest 17.x.x.x update from the website. It says it's installed but my computer hasn't replaced it with the old version. Help?

I suspect you have a APU.

Ahhh I think I know what you mean (and if I don't I apologize I'm not super computer savvy)

Says my processor is an AMD A8-6500 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics.... 3.50GHz?

I have a Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system with around 8 gigs of RAM total.

So is it that I have the right driver but need to update my processor?

This is how you find the correct driver for your APU. It is the only driver you install AMD Drivers and Support for Radeon, Radeon Pro, FirePro, APU, CPU, Ryzen, desktops, laptops

** Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 must be fully updated before attempting to install any AMD driver. All 'critical', 'recommended', and 'optional' (no language packs, etc) updates as well as any Service Packs (SP) must be installed before any attempt to install graphics drivers. If you do not get this message .... keep installing until you do:

Thanks! I'll try and do that
