AMD RADEON HD 7470 and UltraWide LG monitor 2560x1080 resolution

Hi

Trying to establish if this card can support 2560x1080 via the Display Port and if it can do so over a HDMI cable as the monitor only supports HDMI input.

I have purchased a COMSOL 4K ULTRA HD DisplayPort to HDMI 4K2K Adapter that supports HDMI formats 2160p, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p & 576i  and 4K resaolution 3840x2160@30Hz

I realise this is a legacy card but wanted to cover all bases before investing in another card.

The physical setup is DELL OPTIPLEX 9010 with an onboard Intel HD 4000 gpu that supports 2 displayport outputs and a VGA output. These work well and are driving 2 of the 3 monitors we need to run at 2560x1080.

The third monitor is hooked to the AMD RADEON HD 7470 PCI card. This card has a DisplayPort and DVI outputs. I have the COMSOL adapter in the PCI card and a HDMI cable that was supplied with the monitor to the third monitor. But Windows Display Adapater settings and the Catalyst software indicate that the max I can get to is 1920x1080

The monitors are 3 x LG 29UM59A-P all identical

Would appreciate any feedback or ideas.

Thanks

The HD 7470 can support 2560x1600, but things can happen with adapters which make them unable to detect and support certain resolutions. I would suggest using another adapter.
