Upgraded from 8350 to 1950X. Simple things gone mad!

I Upgraded from 8350 to 1950X. Since then, simple things, like opening task manager, takes about a minute or two on the 1950x. What is causing this? Or has anyone else experienced this? Also, it seems like my computer freezes every hour or so, for about another minute or two. Never had this issue on the 8350. Tems are fine. I'll double check the RAM placement (i'm sure I have them in the right slots, though).

Like I said, I never had these issues on the 8350.

Using the Aorus Gaming 7 motherboard, I have 32GB of RAM (2 16GB sticks). Motherboard is also using the most up to date bios version available.

Did you use a fresh install of Windows 10?

I didn't. I suppose I can give that a try though. It's just not an easy task with that I use my computer for. Lots of Program installations and custom scripts that need to be reimplemented. But if it fixes the issue I'm having, I'm all for going through all of that stuff.

Would there be any reason why a fresh install would kick it into gear?

You're changing the entire core of the system.
