Radeon Pro 460 running slow on macOS Sierra

Hello everyone

This is my first post here so please let me know if I've done it wrong or if I need to provide further details and I'll happily do so.

I have a MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2016 running macOS Sierra 10.12.6

I was led to believe that buying the Radeon Pro 460 4096 MB upgrade would boost the speed of the MacBook Pro when editing films. This MacBook Pro seems to be extremely slow and won't even play continuously through a 1080p h264 video and 1/4 playback. I'm so annoyed that I've spent most of my money on this machine that doesn't even perform.

This has led me to believe that the card must not be working or it isn't installed properly as I haven't installed any drivers for this card yet but I can't seem to find any online.

Am I missing anything?

When I try and play back video, it says that Adobe Premiere Pro is using 600% CPU in the Activity Monitor. I'm not even sure how that's possible.

I'm looking forward to any response on this issue and please let me know if I can post anything to make this easier to solve.

All the best
