GPU Memory Clock stuck at full load while at 244Hz in idle. I am using the RX 580 with the Alienware AW2518HF monitor.
The problem is only solved when I change the frequency to 144Hz.
Same problem with Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8 Gb SE and AOC 2460G4 144hz.
At 120hz it acts normal, but above it stuck at 2100.
Problem is well-known, i contacted amd support directly on it a year ago and i was told they can't do anything. Also support assumed it somehow may be connected with OCed displays, and suggested to buy another which is not factory OCed lol. Like it's my problem u know.
If u have an opportunity i would recommend u to back your RX 580 and take another gpu, cuz AMD clearly doesn't care about this issue.
Few questions, mate - is your monitor's display factory-overcloced?
R u 100% sure memoru clock acts normal at 144hz? (If yes, it's not resource requrement issue as some people suggest cuz i have this problem on 144hz with 580)
What particular model of 580 u have?
