Could be a faulty CPU. Does it happen if you run something like Memtest86 at boot time?
Any chance to know
which driver version your using, OS or OS's installed, or if any over clocking settings are set? Including the newer Memory Try IT configs or something that is now said to be avoided unless running Win8, the MSI Faster Boot, which is entirely to fast and totally misses the entire hardware sometimes the actual UEFI Firmware, but it will find your info, type setting ?
Your LED is blinking because something is most likely wrong with the board. I haven't run into anyone having problems with a 1600x and is very stable, but on the setup and drivers I know that are good.
