Dude, I found the same problem here, with eyefinity 3x1, any game crash in full resolution, but I went back to the previous drive and I can play any game normally.
I7 6700, Rx 480 reference @ 8gb, MSI B150M Mortar Artic, 16gb DDR4 3000mhz, 750w PSU, SDD and HDS.
OH... So I'm not the only one.. Every new Driver from AMD is a CRAP !!!
All I can play is Forza Horizon 3 for now, cz it is the only game which starts in a windowed mode
Every update after 17.2.1 driver was a junk. I just don't understand why do these guys fix the next thing by damaging the previous one. They add support for the latest games and end their support for the old ones.
Dear AMD, your GPUs are better and I like them but your foolish driver releases compel me to move back to Nvidia. JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR DAMN DRIVERSSS !!!!!
I have the same problem with my RX480 NITRO+ 4GB eyefinity full screen and border less window mode both crash the system regardless of game.
Same here, no game working with Eyefinity after 17.12.1 driver
AMD Radeon (TM) R9 390 Series. Win10
With the update 17.12.2, the problem with games has been solved, now even Relive works perfectly. (But it still impacts the performance of some games, such as PES 2018)
I updated to 17.12.2 today, and the games turned on in Eyefinity mode, but the problem still persisted. Instead of crashing at the start of any game, it crashes soon after the game starts playing. In Warframe, for example, I could log in, walk around my ship, but within a minute or so, the game crashes, and Windows freezes, forcing me to reboot.
I tried several other games and the same problem happened.
I went back to the 17.11.4 update, and the problems stopped, just like before. I would love to try out the new update, but there's no way I am giving up Eyefinity for this.
Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Friend, here the problem has been solved, as I said in update 17.12.2. I only had one reboot once, working on After Effects, this just after two straight hours playing Elite Dangerous. At least for me, the problem has been solved.
Yeah, I wish I could say it was fixed for me. The 17.12.2 upstate still crashes for me in Eyefinity mode. Warframe, Dishonored 2, Mad Max, all crashed and resulted in having to reboot. At first, I thought 17.12.2 fixed it when I was able to log into Warframe and walk around my ship, because with 17.12.1 I couldn't even get it to the log in screen. But it crashed once I walked back toward the arsenal. I tried again several times and it always resulted in having to reboot my PC. Then tried other games and same thing happened.
I'm hoping the next update will officially have fixed the Eyefinity issue for good. Right now, the issue is not happening on 17.11.4.
On my rx580 with 17.12.2 I tried eyefinity with F1 2016, R6seige and Homefront. Everything worked perfectly.
I don't have any of the games you list so can't help much.
Same here,even playing in 720p i had crashes since 17.12.1,i was hoping that they fixed it with the 17.12.2 but still getting the same problem.. it crashes with the typical windows 10 blue screen.. I guess ill get the old drivers untill they do something about that
Same problem here with .1 and .2 of the Adrenaline driver & software. Elite Dangerous crashes a few seconds after loading and the PC reboots.
Using R9 270 with Windows 10.
17.11.* --> NoProblems using EyeFinity
17.12.1 --> Every Game cause a Blackscreen/Reboot (GTA 5, Subnautica,...)
But most worst:
18.1.1 --> Using EyeFinity results in a "Resolution Loop" -> the Desktop appears for 2 - 3 seconds, turns black for 2 - 3 seconds, appears,... a reboot doesn't fix the problem. I've disconnected one Monitor an completly un/reinstalled the driver from a different source, same issue. Now rolled back to 17.12.1...
GPU R9 290 / Win10
Also with me. since the new driver "adrenaline 17.12-18.1-18.2" Eyefinty does not work properly. All previously played games like Crysis 1 to 3, Anno 1404, 2070, Rise of the Tomb Raider and others, crash after a short time. In addition, sometimes at the desktop level there is a merciless drop of image.
Graphics: 8GB Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro +
I'm back to 17.10
I too am having this issue since early December, the first time the GPU crashed (triple monitor setup) it actually artifact'ed my R9 290x. Luckily it had a lifetime warranty, and I got a new R9 390x three weeks ago, yet this issue still occurs randomly with three monitors (usually will crash instantly or within 30-60 minutes of gaming). The second I unplug one of the monitors however (tried all 3) and go down to two monitors (or just one monitor) everything works perfectly and I can game for hours on end.
I have already tried clean installing drivers, and I have been monitoring heat temps as well which are also good. Have already tried all combinations of outputs on the new GPU.
Please resolve this issue AMD! Already sent multiple support tickets/reports.
Ok tried 18.2.1 now and it works fine
I just tried after clean installing 18.2.2 and, although I got through the Eyefinity basic setup without any trouble, as soon as I tried to use Advanced setup (I wanted to adjust the Bezel spacing and the fill-type) the Radeon Setting program crashed. Also the one time i made it into a game with a basic 3 screen set-up, the whole PC crashed within 20 seconds, restarted, same old problem still for me.
Here are my specs, in case it helps.

Installed latest driver 18.3.1 and 3x1 Eyefinity display now works normally. First time in over six months that I've been able to use it without crashing the computer.
