    Ryzen 1600 and Linux

    wdr

Just I bought a Ryzen 1600 CPU (mindfactory AG) to set up a Linux-system. How can I know that the CPU ist produced after the calendar week 25?

It is written on the CPU heatspreader. Below the large "AMD RYZEN" are 6 smaller lines of text. The second line will be something like, " UA 1725PGT". In this line, "17" refers to the year 2017, and, "25" refers to week 25 of that year. There is no software to query the manufacture date; you must look at the physical CPU.
