AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 driver does not install.

When opening the 'AMD Radeon  Setting' the following message is displayed:

'No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware'.

My Hardware:

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 56 8Mb

Motherboard: Gigabyte Aourus X370 Gaming K7, with latest BIOS update applied (F7a)

CUP: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X 3.5 GHz

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32 Gb, 3200MHz (running at a flimsy 2136MHz, thanks AMD)

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X52

OS: Windows 10 (1709), 64bit edition.

I have tried installing the follwing drivers, from the AMD support page:

     non-whql-win10-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-17.11.2-nov16

     Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.11.1-Nov2

     radeon-crimson-relive-17.11.2-minimalsetup-171116_web

     whql-win10-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-17.11.1-nov10

Windows shows a 'Microsoft Basic Display Driver' and game performance is worse than what I previously had on my 10 year old Radeon HD 5800.

So right now I have wasted 450 € on AMD rubbish. nVidia was cheaper and faster, why on earth did I not buy a good graphics card?

I have updated the BIOS to the latest available version, tried installing AMD drivers many times and even tried reinstalling Windows 4 or 5 times.

Please help.
