It is not uncommon for the driver version tag not to be updated with non WHQL drivers, if it is successfully installed then it is installed correctly.
that is interesting to know. I have another pc with an A8-7650K apu, also with windows7 64bit which I upgraded at the same time. that one reports the newer version driver. both pc's have 8gb pc1600 ddr3 memory (kingston), and the same asrock fm2a88m-hd+ r3.0 motherboard with same version bios (v1.5.0 )
The only significant difference is the one showing the right version has 2 monitors attached (vga and dvi) and the "problem" pc has one monitor and an ssd as the primary drive. This inconsistent behaviour is what makes me think that something is not quite right. Are you aware of registry entries I could fix so it reports the right version? thanks.
