I buy a HP Pavilion with the AMD a12-9720p but the performance is not good, and i think is because the drivers it has, i try to update it but i cant, is like the processor is not supported by amd. Like it doesn't exist.
Laptop graphics update...How to
That is a OEM configured graphics chip/APU. Get the driver updates from HP Automatically Find HP Updates | HP Support
I was refering like choosing the drivers for my processor on Download Drivers , amd give me no option to download specifically for this one a12-9720p (a12-9730p or a12-9700 for example have a option for download), mine doesnt have any information, even when the processor is used by other companys.
So the updates are made by hp. I made a mistake choosing this one.
I try manny times to download the drivers and istalling it, but it give me the problen with the legend "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware."
Thanks, hope they relase one soon, too many green parts on videos, too many shut downs, too many blue screens.
I have an amd a12-9720p r7 is that the same thing? some how the settings app got removed from my computer and i cant find 9720 drivers either, not even on google, is there a legit driver detector i can download?
Heyho buddy. We´re brothers due to having the same "brilliant" APU (whole system). So I think I can help you :-)
I know what you mean with "the performance is not good". But let's be honest. It´s a cheap AMD APU from Bristol Ridge generation. So this APU can`t create miracles ;-) It´s good enough for running current versions of Windows/Linux without any lagging. You´re able to run videos up to 1080p 60FPS. (cant handle 4k 30FPS) You´re able to run most games, 2016 or older, in 1280x720 on low settings getting around at least 25 or more FPS.
You´re free to check out my Youtube Channel. I made a lot of AMD A12-9720P benchmarks to show its real performance in games. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnUXDY7WYlBa3SCzfM1F_lg
So in my opinion the APU is really ok for all the basic stuff. (keep the price in mind)
BTW I just upgraded the graphics driver to Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.1. You can do that too. Just select A12-9700 in the AMD download section. (http://support.amd.com/de-de/download/apu?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064 )
Have a good day,
