Phenom 955 - Unable to use openCL on Ubuntu

hello, first post here!

i'm trying to run Radeon ProRender for Blender using my Phenom 955 (which should support openCL if i'm not wrong) but it appears the cpu is not recognized

few useful info:

- os: Ubuntu 16.04

- if i run clinfo the cpu doesn't show in the list - it only shows the gtx260 which btw is not working anyway

- i tried installing the amd apps sdk 3.0 but that didn't work too

- already installed ocl-icd-opencl-dev, ocl-icd-libopencl1, opencl-headers and clinfo

but i'm no linux expert at all so there may be something else i've missed

thank you all for the help!!!
