So, here is the issue I currently have. I am using a RX480 XFX graphics card with a new MSI G27C2 monitor. This monitor is rated for 144Hz, but for some reason Radeon settings is only showing the monitor running at 60Hz. I can't be sure that I am actually getting 144Hz while gaming, and I would like some peace of mind if Radeon was actually showing that number instead. Here is the copied information from Radeon.
Horizontal Timing Total - 2200
Horizontal Timing Display - 1920
Horizontal Timing Front Porch - 88
Horizontal Timing Sync Width - 44
Vertical Timing Total - 1125
Vertical Timing Display - 1080
Vertical Timing Front Porch - 4
Vertical Timing Sync Width - 5
Horizontal Timing Polarity - Positive
Vertical Timing Polarity - Positive
Interlaced/Progressive - Progressive
G.Pixel Clock (KHz) - 148500
G.Refresh Rate (Hz) - 60
Current HDCP Status - Enabled
Current Link Settings - 1.62 Gbps x 4
I don't know if it has something to do with my monitor not performing properly or if it has something to do with freesync not working. Some help would sure be nice. I have also posted this on MSI forum with no response. Just trying to figure this out. Thanks
Right click your Desktop > Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties > Monitor.
Make sure Windows is running the display at 144Hz and click Apply to set.
