when is hd 5770 going to get centos drivers

    starbuck

hi, i am asking the above question because i have a radeon hd5770 card, and the linux drivers i tried do not work as not compatible.

i am running CentOS 7 x86_64 and the board is installed ok amd too, just the card has crash output where fedora it works fine (but fedora is too limited for the use i need), but the rhel drivers do not even run for some unknon reason, now centos is the community build of red hats enterprise 7 linux and even should run the exact same drivers/software enterprise does. i tried both and neither run and no errors given just that the os can't run the rpm.

this has really caused issues when rpm is for any/all that use such package styles - do we even get open source to use if not packed by you? and the thoughts of buying a new card is out of the question until linux has better support and software, besides why buy a new card when the current one works when software is present for it.
