Fresh install, included drivers fail, so I built it as text only. Gathered up all the dependencies and when I try and install the driver (fglrx64_p_i_c-15.302-1.x86_64_rhel7_64a.rpm) I get:

Error when installing driver:

error: Detected X Server version 'XServer 1.19.3_64a' is not supported. Supported versions are X.Org 6.9 or later, up to XServer 1.10

System description:

Card: AMD R9 M275X

Laptop: Dell Precision 7510

OS: RHEL Workstation 7.4 (64 bit)

Driver: No Driver

Monitor: Built in screen

32G RAM

Error: Error when installing driver:

error: Detected X Server version 'XServer 1.19.3_64a' is not supported. Supported versions are X.Org 6.9 or later, up to XServer 1.10

Application: really just lots and lots of terminals and browsers, two HTML5 apps that I can think of (vCenter and a propitiatory web display) that don't use a lot of GPU cycles.

We had ordered these systems with supported video, but procurement messed things up.

Any thoughts?

Tom
