I have an ACER laptop with an E1-7010. Can I change the APU to a E2-9010 or a E2-7110? They both have FP4 socket so I wondered if it's a straight swap, job done.
No, socket FP4 accepts a BGA (Ball Grid Array) processor that connects directly via solder balls. The processor is soldered directly to pads on the motherboard, and is not easily replaceable.
