Most programs, including AMD Ryzen Master, have compensated for that 20°C offset and report the correct temperature.
As far as overclocking, most all Ryzen processors top out at 4ghz, a limitation of the process node that has been somewhat refined in Threadripper, getting beyond 4ghz with any voltage is not guaranteed.

People say there is a 20C offset. Though mine idles around 35C i can only assume either the software subtracts the offset automatically or the offset never existed or was removed with the latest drivers? Just wondering if i could get some direct facts about it so i know whats what. Also I'm running my 1600x at 4Ghz 1.35v stable, is there a recommended voltage to run 4.1 or 4.2Ghz? Thanks
Run your CPU are 3.8 GHz max or you risk a very early demise. I have heard of a few overclockers who have suffered problems you would not like.
