    Low performance with Ryzen 5 1600X

    lukasa.

      I bought a Ry zen 5 1600X but im getting terrible frame rates in some games like dark souls 3 I cant even get past 60 fps heres my rig:

      Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X 6-core 12-thread 3.6 Ghz

      Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350-Gaming

      Graphics Card: MSI Gaming 4gb Nvidia GTX 960

      Memory: 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengence LPX

      Power Supply: EVGA 500W Bronze

      Moniter: BenQ GW2250

       

      Can someone please give some tips to raise my fps

          You need to investigate why your graphics card is not performing to spec.

            Hey Lukasa,

             

            You have a nice upcoming setup. This may seem like we are picking on an item specifically but I do believe you need to bring your attention to your video card.

            The GTX 960 is base level gaming card. Simply check out the posted specs. GeForce GTX 960 | Performance | GeForce

            (I know guys, a link to an nvidia page #cringe ...jk)

             

            The video card itself is stating, it barely pushes above 35fps in Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor. You are in need of a new graphics card my friend.

            A brand new RX 580 or RX 570  with 8GB of course would fit your build very well. An alternative is also a 1060 6GB.

            P.S. I will always advise you to look at MSI as they are nicely clocked and quieter then most.
