17.10.1 driver crashes with Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta

Question asked by magicool on Oct 11, 2017

Since update to 17.10.1 driver Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Beta crashes mid game

(To update I uninstalled drivers, then used display driver uninstaller for clean up then installed all drivers GPU and Chipset 17.30 again).

The crashes seem to be random can't make out a special ingame event.

There is no error message from the driver directly, screen just goes black until driver restarted and the game's .exe is terminated.

Windows event viewer gives: "Der Anzeigetreiber "amdkmdap" reagiert nicht mehr und wurde wiederhergestellt."

(The display driver "amdkmdap" stopped working and was recovered).

Didn't have this problem at all with Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.3 Optional which I played the SWBF2 Beta with until today.

Was using DX12 API in SWBF2.

Settings Ultra.

Edit: I know it's the Beta and it ends today but for the Game Ready driver they should look into this.

Edit2: tried several other games by now no driver crash, sadly can't further test SWBF2 since it ended yesterday
