I highly suspect that is a faulty reading, if you're reading the core temperature and not the meaningless socket temperature, given that the thermal maximum for that chip is 72°C and you'd be triggering shutdowns, or at the least receiving BSODs or other undesired behavior, especially under Prime95 you'd get rounding errors.
Good morning Black_Zion,
WOW!!! Thank you for your hasty reply.
I was going by the “package temp”. The mainboard temp holds pretty steady at 30-32C. The AI suite 3 default shutdown is 75C, which I left it untouched. I am at the point of installing 2 more fans blowing cool into the case and rad. This is my 1st experience with an APU. My other rig runs an FX-8350 with air cooling and it never runs that hot. I don’t need to tell you that FX’s run toasty. I get the 8 graphics cores in the a10 basically streamline and prepares the data for the R7 240 to handle more efficiently.
Ambient temp in home is 25 degrees..... would factor in for air cool. This setup was a gift to me. My friends case choice had to be liquid cooled, no vents on sides.
I’m doing my best to prolong it’s life, and humbly ask for the software you trust most for temperature monitoring. Guess I could drill holes in the freezer .....
Thank you again for your input kind sir/ma’am,

I prefer AIDA64, but AI Suite is proper too.
