    BSOD watchdog violation

    ]g1

      Hello, I have been having a very frustrating issue. I am no expert. I've looked everywhere to find a post with the same description as mine but couldn't.

      Please help me! I would very appreciate your suggestions.

      Problem description:

      On playing video on my browser, it is guaranteed that I will get a BSOD after some minutes into the video;

      This problem arises with watching any recorded video on any website on any fps and resolution; however, on watching a live video on a stream, or even playing video games, it never gives a BSOD..

      On playing a YouTube video for example, my PC fan revolves quicker and eventually both screen and audio will suddenly freeze. The freeze lasts for 1-~15s; thereafter everything may either go back to normal and the video continues, or I get the BSOD. If it goes back to normal, another freeze occurs minutes later. This leads to an event@ual BSOD.

      When the BSOD arrives, it displays the sad face and entails something like "stop code: DPC watchdog violation".

      What I've tried:

      I've updated Adobe Flash; but there's no difference.

      I've tried updating my display adapter from device manager and from AMD Catalyst Control Center but in both cases, after reboot, I get an ever lasting black screen with the loading spinning dots with a free mouse like this:

      on which I've waited ~90mins, tried what I could in safe mode but to no avail; then I checked for restore points, but didn't have any; so I reset PC and had to reinstall the apps which took me long time.

      So before I proceed to other solutions that involve DDU, I made this post because I really don't want to reset PC again; I also have a system restore point on standby now.
