win 10 update Aug 2017 won't recognize 7660D

Question asked by artwolf on Aug 31, 2017

My Radeon 7660D (in HP 500-037c) has worked fine in Win10 Home through ver 1607 build 14393.1593. Then the update it installed on Aug 30, 2017 gives the issues shown in the "not supported" list on the Win10 video support page Windows® 10 Driver Support for AMD Radeon™ Graphics Products . It clearly has worked in Win10, so why the issue now? How can I keep using my computer? When the update installs, it reverts to a MS Basic Display Driver and won't support multiple monitors or much of anything else. Thanks for any help, I am not in a position to upgrade video cards now. Computer is a HP 500-037c with AMD A10 quad core.
