At this moment, the only ambient occlusion supported by AMD is HDAO, through the GPUOpen AOFX library. They can run other types of AO as AO is implemented by the application at the DirectX 11 API level, but only HDAO in AOFX is optimized for AMD GCN. Since the implementation of AO may differ across applications, AMD does not see a need to force applications to run it.
The RadeonPro panel and its creator are not affiliated with or supported by AMD in any way. Neither is ENB nor any of its maintainers. If your application does not support ambient occlusion, or the code injection software that you use to force it fails, then that is not AMD's problem.
