Since you are so worried, why dont you test for yourself and give your feedback on 17.8.1, its working fine on me, despite some old issues and some others that i already find, but none that can cause crashs... Are you scare that AMD turns your graphic card into a bomb?
Because i'm also worried that if I Upgrade my Catalyst, that I may not be able to go back to 17.7.1...
I'm already on 17.7.2, & I already don't know how to get back to 17.7.1...
So I only want to go to 17.8.1 if it's safe to do so...
When I install the Previous Drivers, & wipe out the new Drivers, they Automatically Update to the New Drivers, & it doesn't let me Install past Drivers...
What am I doing wrong?
I click Full Install, Custom, & Install everything, but I dun see an Option to role back Driver...
Also, when I click Install on 17.7.1, it doesn't come up as 17.7.1, it comes up as 17.7.2 or in this case 17.8.1...
How do I install whats on my PC, & not whats on the web?
1. Completely update your Windows installation if you haven't yet.
2. Download the version of the drivers you want to install
3. Delete contents of C:\AMD
4. Run current version of DDU and drop to safe mode.
Reboot into Windows and install the drivers you downloaded in step 2.
