Hello, i would like to know if my ryzen 5 1600 can use ram with3200mhz because some people tell me, it can only 2666mhz even with the last update on my bios.
The best place to ask that question would be MSI's support forums, as memory capabilities are board specific. What runs at 3200mhz on one board may not on another, despite both having AGESA 220.127.116.11a
On MSI's support, they tell me the problem is with the ryzen 5 because he can only support 2666mhz and not more. My mothercards can support 3200mhz with the last update.
And that's why MSI is known as Missing Some Intelligence. Ryzen supports up to 3200mhz RAM, but not every board supports every 3200mhz RAM stick. Even on ASUS boards, my previous board, the Prime X370-Pro, couldn't run 3200mhz RAM, but my new board, the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero WiFi, does with no problems, despite being SK Hynix instead of Samsung.
