Full disclosure: I've only built a handful of systems and have no overclocked so I might be missing a simple fix to this due to my lack of experience.
I built a new PC two weeks ago. PC powered up fine and I went ahead and got all the new drivers for the new components. I installed Steam and loaded up some games. I noticed right away that something in the case was really loud. I download a program to check the temps of the system and noticed the GPU gets up to 80C when running games and the fans spin at 100% making it extremely loud. When doing normal web surfing and email; the GPU stays around 50C and the fans hardly spin. The games play and look fine at high settings. So far I haven't had any crashes or black screens either. I haven't played too much since the temp and noise have me concerned and didn't want to fry anything.
My questions are: is this normal? If not, how can I fix this? Do I have a faulty card?
